Thought I'd let you guys in on my current obsession, what I've been putting most of my artistic energy into lately.
This is my doll. Her name is Spider.
Want some more info? She's an AngelRegion Little Fair, a Basic Kit Ren Girl, 43cm tall. She's what's generally referred to as a Mini, or MSD. She's a BJD, an asian ball-jointed doll, fully poseable and customizable. I can change her make up if I wanted (I don't, at least not yet: I'm in love with her default), I can change her eyes, her wig, her clothes. I can blush her body. I can change her skin color, or make her eyes bigger, or make her breasts smaller. I can make her into a boy, or a mermaid, or a demon. I can give her horns and piercings and tattoos and whatever else I can think of.
She's insanely expensive, so I won't tell you what the pricetag says. Believe me, after a little while it stops being an issue of "that's just too much money" and starts being "how do I get enough of these funny little pieces of paper all together in one place so that those funny people who like paper so much will give me my baby?"
This is my doll. Her name is Spider, and I'm in love with her.
My goodness, seeing this doll brought back partial nightmares of when I was a child. Did any of you ever see Dark Crystal? It was a movie SUPPOSED to be for children, and it had puppets that looked almost identical to this... *shudders*
Photographically you captured it perfectly...
Psychologically, i can not handle this image.

Man, I NEVER got to see that when I was a kid. I wanted to. Like burning. But I never did. Probably would've given me crazy nightmares, so it's for the best.
I'm sorry Spider frightens you. ;.; She's really very nice!
Yeah I think Dark Crystal is one of those movies (Labrynth as well) that I will have to re-watch now that I'm an adult, because There is NO WAY that they could have been as scary as my mind has made them out to be... I hope...

The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Lifehacker takes a look at the 5 Best online image editors. For those of you that don't use Photoshop, I highly suggest taking a look at this, as these apps allow you to edit your images in a browser window, and some are VERY powerful!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
In this article you will find many thumbnails of the sun in different forms, all photography featured here by the club feature-me. Please show your support for these artists and their work and the article so that more people can see their work.
